On behalf of our customers, Mikrop develops, produces and assembles highly complex optical components and systems for multi- and single-use applications.

Mikrop is an internationally active technology leader in the field of miniaturization of high-precision optics with diameters from 0.3 mm and objectives with diameters from 0.6 mm.


Spherical Lenses

We operate as a development and production partner (build-to-print) for optical components and lenses in a variety of designs:

  • Spherical lenses: bi-convex, plano-convex, bi-concave, plano-concave (negatives incl. aperture), concave-convex (meniscus), etc.
  • Windows and plane plates in various materials and coatings incl. aperture
  • Prisms and prism assemblies for beam deflection

 

We offer the following manufacturing parameters:

  • Diameters of Ø 0.3 to 10 mm (±0.002 mm)
  • Center thicknesses from 0.1 mm (±0.002 mm)
  • Convex radii from 0.2 mm to infinity
  • Concave radii from 0.4 mm to infinity
  • Centering tolerances to 0.005 mm
  • Form error 3/2 (λ/10)
  • Surface quality 5/1×0.016

Rod Lenses

One of our specialties is the production of rod lenses for endoscopy.

  • Rod lenses, radii rods, flat rods
  • Single and multiple elements (centering and external shapes according to customer requirements)
  • Apertures (black-chrome thin film, precision-centered)

 

We offer the following manufacturing parameters for rod lenses:

  • Diameters of Ø 1.0 to 8 mm (±0.003 mm)
  • Center thicknesses to 50 mm
  • diameter/center thickness ratio of 1:10
  • Centering tolerances to 0.005 mm
  • Form error 3/2 (λ/10)
  • Surface quality 5/1×0.016

Optical Assemblies

  • Lens with aperture
  • Achromats (doublets)
  • Apochromatic lenses (triplets)
  • Quadruplets

We offer the following manufacturing parameters for optical assemblies:

  • Diameters from Ø 0.3 mm (±0.002 mm)
  • Centering tolerances to 0.005 mm
  • Form error 3/2 (λ/10)

Assemblies combining Lenses and Prisms

In addition to conventional optics assemblies, we also offer more complex component assemblies comprised of various lenses combined also with prisms for beam deflection. The viewing direction and angle, as well as external shapes, can be adapted to customer specifications.
