On behalf of our customers, we develop, produce and assemble highly complex optical micro-objectives for multi- and single-use applications. On request, we can even mount the micro-objectives on the respective camera sensor.

  • Micro-objectives: mounted optical assemblies
  • Plastic micro-objectives
  • Micro-camera: Micro-objectives mounted on a camera sensor

In addition to glass micro-objectives for multi-use applications, we also offer micro-objectives comprised of plastic optics as a cost-effective solution for high-volume applications.

Micro-objectives

From development and production of prototypes to series production of high-volume products, we’re a one-stop shop. Our portfolio includes both standard and custom solutions for CMOS sensors of all descriptions.

We offer the following manufacturing parameters for micro-objectives:

  • Diameters from Ø 1.0 mm
  • Nearly diffraction-limited resolution
  • Field of View (FOV) of up to 120°
  • Direction of View (DOV) of up to 110° or to customer specifications
  • Sapphire front glass and/or IR filter are optionally available
  • Autoclavable
  • Integration with camera sensors possible > see micro-cameras

Plastic micro-objectives

For special and compact applications in high-volumes, we also offer our customers micro-objectives made of plastic. In comparison with a glass objective, our customers can expect the same optical performance.

We offer the following manufacturing parameters for plastic micro-objectives:

  • Diameters from Ø 1.0 mm
  • Nearly diffraction-limited resolution thanks to aspherical design
  • Field of View (FOV) of up to 120°
  • Direction of View (DOV) of up to 90° or to customer specifications
  • Sapphire front glass and/or IR filter are optionally available
  • Integration with camera sensors possible > see micro-cameras

Micro-cameras

On request, Mikrop also offers integration of the glass/plastic micro-objectives with the camera sensor (e.g. CMOS). This allows the customer to focus on their core competence. Mikrop handles the entire integration process, from the optics to the camera system: all from a single source.

We offer the following advantages for micro-cameras:

  • Custom designs for various camera sensors from all providers
  • Extensive qualification of the camera system
  • One-stop-shop: from the design (optics, mechanics and assembly) to production
  • Project management from the prototypes to series production
